Supporting you
Winchester Road is home to four men with learning disabilities, Downs Syndrome and autism.
The people who live here enjoy busy lives. They attend courses run locally by our internal activity team and take part in a range of leisure activities in the community such as trampolining, swimming, visiting Alton library and attending social groups. They also enjoy going shopping in Alton or Winchester, using public transport and going to the local gym to keep fit.
Facilities
The house has as large lounge with French doors backing onto a large back garden. The kitchen offers a spacious area for cooking and dining as well as a breakfast bar and laundry facilities.
One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor, with the others on the first floor along with the shared bathroom and separate shower room.
The team
The diverse staff team at Winchester Road provide individualised support to the residents. We have a well-established staff team with some of the team members working at the service for 10 or more years.
Each person is supported to develop their independent living skills and self-expression. The staff team uses only approved and agreed redirection and diffusing techniques to support continued positive interactions within the home.
