Facilities
Wey House is an old country farm house with large grounds and an enclosed walled garden, which was renovated early last year. We are a 31-bedded nursing service which primarily caters for adults ages 18-64 years old.
On each day shift we have two qualified RGN’s and 14 care and support workers. On each night shift we have one qualified RGN and five waking night staff, ensuring quality of care is provided of the highest standard. There is also a nurse call bell system throughout the home to ensure any needs of the residents are met.
We also have a family meeting kitchen, full laundry services and a catering kitchen. There is also an onsite treatment room with appointments for hair and beauty sessions including massage (at additional cost) all adapted and wheelchair friendly.
Bedroom decorations are all personalised and we have onsite maintenance who can pop TV’s on the walls and hang pictures to add the extra personal touch. We have six bathrooms and two additional toilets, all which are equipped for baths and showers including ceiling tracking hoists. We also have a spa Jacuzzi bath perfect for a pamper night or a nice long soak after a long day.
Our kitchen provides weekly menus which offer a range of breakfast options, and a minimum of three choices for lunch and dinner each day.
The team
Our team is highly skilled and currently provide complex care for residents including PEG feeding, injected medications, drips, catheter care, tissue viability and pressure area care, and people who are dependent on oxygen. Staff are also trained to deescalate challenging behaviours should they arise. We also have a weekly GP clinic in-house.
