Supporting you
At Westleigh House we support 12 individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The home has an ethos of enabling individuals to reach their full potential in terms of independence and daily living. We want each person we support to have a happy life, achieving their potential, having enjoyable experiences and making choices.
We pride ourselves on friendly and welcoming atmosphere and visitors often express that this is what they feel when they come to visit. The people who currently live here all bring their own colourful character traits to the home.
Facilities
Westleigh House is a large house with an accessible garden for people who use wheelchairs. Each of the 12 bedrooms has its own en-suite facilities. The service has a second lounge which can be used as a quiet area and two dining rooms. The home has excellent communal spaces one of which opens out on to the rear garden.
The team
We have an experienced staff team who is able to support people with communication needs and complex health needs i.e. PEG and diabetes. Our staff are highly trained and we have good supportive relationships with families and outside professionals. We make sure that each person’s needs, choices and wishes are understood and met. We hold regular house meetings where everyone is encouraged to ask questions and make suggestions.
