At Twyford House we support up to 12 people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviour. We’re thrilled to be accredited by the National Autistic Society (NAS) at Advanced status!
Supporting you
We encourage the people we support to take part in activities they enjoy, from sport and leisure, to increasing their skills both at home and in the local community.
We give the people we support choice and opportunity to try new things, learn new skills and we actively encourage them to progress themselves further.
The people we support meet on a weekly basis, either as a group or individually dependent on the needs and wishes of each individual. These meetings allow them to have their input into menu planning, suggesting activities, destinations to visit, planning holidays and be involved in the recruitment of any new team members!
Empowering them to live the life they choose, every person living at Twyford House can plan how they spend their days, with input and guidance from our team as required.
Facilities
Our home is light and airy with many spacious communal areas, including a lounge, kitchen and specialist sensory room. We also have an easily accessible rear garden to enjoy throughout the year!
Our large kitchen means the people we support can prepare their own meals with support and guidance from the chef. The kitchen is always open, and they can come and go as they choose.
We encourage the people we support to decorate their bedrooms to their own style and taste. Most of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities – enhancing private personal care needs.
Adaptations can be made as necessary to promote independence.
