Supporting you
At The Grove we provide support to people with learning disabilities and associated needs. We can support individuals from the age of 17 and above. We are able to offer the level and amount of support you need, whether this is as part of a group, on a 1-1 basis or 2-1 if required.
Our fundamental aim is to meet and support your needs exactly, whilst ensuring you have a meaningful fun-filled day. There are numerous opportunities at The Grove where you can socialise, take part in a range of creative activities, build self-confidence, develop new skills, and build and maintain positive mental and physical agility.
We also provide a varied choice of freshly prepared healthy balanced meals, snacks and refreshments on a daily basis. We encourage the people we support to help with the preparation of meals and snacks should they wish too.
The Grove is the only local day service for people with learning disabilities that is open 7 days a week. We’re open all year, excluding some bank holidays.
We are extremely flexible, so can discuss your individual support requirements and may be able to provide support outside of our usual opening times if required.
The team
Our friendly team of staff ensure that everyone we support enjoy a variety of activities and social interaction. We run a range of different activities each day and can guarantee there is something for everyone!
The purpose of the activities vary considerably, but for most people it is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills, to get together with their peers and friends, to chat, share ideas and experiences, and an opportunity to have a good, fun day in a safe place.
We are able to provide support within the community without you needing to attend The Grove. This can be provided when required during the day, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We are also able to provide sleep in support and night support as well as one off support for days out, trips or social occasions.
