Summerfield Court is a brain injury rehabilitation and non-rehabilitation home located in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We provide care and support for up to 17 individuals to build their cognitive and daily living skills following a brain injury. We are proud to have achieved Headway Approved Provider status!
Supporting you
We adopt a person-centred approach, and everyone is encouraged to create their own activity programme, which is tailored to their needs and interests.
An important part of the support we offer is to assist people in making the most of the resources available to them in the local community. We have good links within the local area and encourage the people we support to explore functional activities locally to build their confidence and independence.
As well as our highly trained team, we work with external therapy professionals to design, implement and review therapy programmes. These therapists cover a diverse range of specialisms including behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physiotherapy.
Facilities
We have 10 spacious en-suite bedrooms and seven self-contained apartments that each have a private lounge and cooking facilities. The people we support can progress from one of the residential rooms within the service to a transitional living apartment to support them to grow their independence, before moving onto accommodation in the local community.
Our team actively encourage the people we support to decorate their rooms to their own personal style and taste!
We have a range of shared communal areas, such as a lounge, spacious garden, activity room, and a gym area. This ensures everyone the freedom to enjoy privacy and alone time, socialise with others or participate in therapy sessions – whatever they choose!
Our home also has a therapy kitchen as well as the main kitchen, where the people we support can develop their menu planning and food preparation skills with support from our friendly team.
Summerfield Court is fully wheelchair accessible too, great for those with additional mobility needs.
