Supporting you
Saxon Lodge is a purpose-built home offering support for nine young adults with a diagnosis of autism and complex needs, who may show behaviours that challenge. Our aim is for everyone to enjoy an active and varied lifestyle.
We promote independence and actively support individuals to participate in a full range of activities, which offer choice and opportunities for development. Saxon Lodge is designed to enable full participation by everyone in every aspect of the running of the home.
Individuals and their families and friends are consulted and informed about any changes. We access SALT services to promote communication and enable everyone to express their opinions and be central to any decision making process. One individual takes part in staff selection, helping to shortlist and interview candidates.
Facilities
Our home is purpose built and fully wheelchair accessible with features such as specialist baths and showers and height adjustable work surfaces. The upstairs flats, each with their own en-suite facilities, living and kitchen areas, provide more independent and private accommodation. The service also has a sensory room and a well maintained, pleasant garden.
The team
Staff are knowledgeable and receive specialist training to meet each person’s needs and are always seeking to develop their skills and further. Staff are flexible and take pride in our home and the achievements of each person they support. We regularly receive compliments from visitors and professionals about our pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.
