Rivers is a residential care home located in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. We support adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex needs.

Here at Rivers, our focus is to support, stabilise and help people live the fulfilled lives they deserve!Our expert team create person-centred care plans that meet the specific needs of each person we support.

Facilities

Our spacious detached home has six en-suite bedrooms, each with their own en-suite – perfect for private personal care needs. We encourage the people we support to decorate their rooms to their own personal style.

We have plenty of communal areas, including a sensory room, games room and a large garden – great for enjoying the outdoors!

Our home is located within easy access to several local towns, such as Worksop and Rotherham.

We have many amenities nearby including Langold Country Park offering the people we support the perfect opportunity to go fishing, take part in water sports, and go for walks through the woodland or around the lake.

The people we support are encouraged to get involved with community activities based around their hobbies and interests with support from our team, helping them develop, grow, and live the life they choose.

About Christopher

Christopher started his career in the education sector, where he enjoyed a variety of senior leadership roles, with a distinct focus on safeguarding and supporting special educational needs.

Navigating a career transition in 2022, Christopher moved into the social care sector. Joining esteemed learning disabilities charity Mencap, he managed three services across the North West, playing an integral role supporting vulnerable adults with complex learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours.

Christopher joined Voyage Care in 2024 as a Service Manager at one of our specialist behavioural support services in Derbyshire. An advocate for quality care and support, he aspires to ensure consistency of care for the people we support and actively contribute to our sector leading quality ratings.

About Michael

Michael joined Voyage Care in early 2024 having previously worked in national and regional Director roles, as well as in Senior Clinical leadership. His career spans children and young people’s mental health services, specialist mental health and senior living, both in the NHS and the independent sector.

Michael was the Nominated Individual in his last role and was involved in several acquisitions leading to the group's growth. He’s also worked on several transformation programmes, notably leading neurodevelopmental transformation work in Surrey.

Outside of work, Michael is an avid sports enthusiast and can be frequently found at Anfield passionately supporting his favourite team.

About Vicki

Vicki has worked in the health and social care sector since 2009. She has spent most of her career working within brain injury rehabilitation and mental health services, but has also gained essential experience in various other rehabilitation pathways. Vicki has also previously worked in Forensic Mental Health services for the NHS. Alongside her rich professional career, Vicki has achieved a level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management and has recently completed her degree in Chartered Management.

About Leanne

Leanne has worked for Voyage Care since 2010. Starting her journey as a Support Worker at one of our brain injury services, she continued to develop her skills and knowledge, and became a Registered Manager. After four years in a service management position, she progressed to Regional Support Manager and, more recently, became Operations Manager for our Brain Injury Rehabilitation and ISS services. Alongside her accomplished career, Leanne has a level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.

About David

David has worked in the health and social care sector for 15 years. He started his career at Middlesbrough Council as an Independent Living Advisor, progressing to the role as Care Manager within Learning Disabilities Services. David moved to South Tees CCG as a Case Manager where he gained significant experience of complex care needs. He joined Voyage Care in 2019 as Service Manager for our nurse-led care provision, Voyage Specialist Health Care. David was awarded Branch Manager of the Year at the Voyage Excellence Awards in 2021. Alongside his varied career and vocational achievements, David has a Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
