Supporting you
Our team provides personalised activities tailored specifically to the preferences and needs of the people we support, including a variety of outings and experiences chosen by them.
To assist with these outings, our home is equipped with a specialised vehicle that can accommodate wheelchair users, ensuring accessibility for all.
Throughout the year, our home organises themed days to enhance quality of life and providing the people we support with opportunities to celebrate various occasions. These theme days include fun and creative events such as “wear odd socks day,” along with national days like Halloween, Easter and Christmas, adding a festive and communal spirit to our home!
Facilities
Our spacious bungalow features 10 bedrooms, each equipped with height adjustable beds to meet individual needs. The property includes shared communal areas, such as two large living rooms, a kitchen, dining room and a therapy room – perfect for taking part in activities.
We’ve also got a fully equipped sensory room, built with fibre optic lights, ball pool and various sensory items, creating a calming environment for relaxation.
For therapeutic needs, there is an indoor swimming pool suitable for hydrotherapy. Both the pool and the sensory room are accessible with tracking hoists, ensuring mobility support for all individuals.
Outdoors, our home features two delightful gardens. One garden includes a decked patio area, while the other has a vegetable patch, providing an excellent opportunity for the people we support to enjoy some gardening.
The team
Our dedicated team have taken part in specialist training, gaining valuable knowledge in manual handling, food safety, dysphagia, and clinical tasks, such as administering rescue medication for people with epilepsy.
We pride ourselves on maintaining positive relationships with professionals and family members, receiving positive feedback on this. We also have a weekly nurse visit to discuss non-urgent medical concerns, yearly health and medication reviews, and success stories around medication reductions.
