Moorfields Lodge is a residential home in Haworth where four autistic adults are supported.
Supporting you
The home offers high quality support aimed at enabling people to develop their independence and live fulfilling lives in the community.
We recognise that consistency and structure are the keys to success when working with autistic people. Activities within the home are aimed at encouraging social interaction and communication, providing plenty of space for people to relax and meet with friends and family.
We encourage our residents to develop their skills by taking an active part in everyday tasks such as cooking, washing, shopping, and developing their socialising skills by sharing activities with others.
Facilities
We have a large garden with fruit trees and a vegetable patch where residents can help grow fruit and vegetables.
Everyone who lives at Moorfields Lodge has a personalised bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
There are a number of communal areas including a homely lounge, a quiet lounge, a music room, a sensory room, an arts and crafts conservatory, dining room, and a kitchen. All of the rooms provide ample space for individual or group activities.
Our sensory room has been designed to provide stimulation in a relaxing environment, with therapeutic benefits for individuals who experience processing difficulties.
Our quiet lounge allows individuals to access an environment to reduce the amount of sensory stimulation and overload.
