Ladycroft Respite offers respite support to people with a learning disability, physical disabilities and additional needs, such as sensory impairment, epilepsy and behaviour support.
We aim to provide a high-quality, good value service. We encourage our guests to achieve their maximum potential in social skills and everyday living skills, so that they can lead as independent a life as possible.
We ensure our guests are fully involved in planning and developing our care and support and promote their rights to independence, dignity, privacy, choice and inclusion, encouraging access to non-segregated facilities. The staffing levels reflect the needs of the individuals and ensure appropriate support.
Facilities
The service has six large ground-floor bedrooms which have been specifically designed for people using wheelchairs. All bedrooms have adjustable beds and tracking hoists. Two of the bedrooms are in apartments, with kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas, while the other four bedrooms have en-suite toilets and basins.
Our bathrooms feature fully adjustable baths and ceiling hoists. There is also a shower room which has been adapted for wheelchair users. The communal areas include a lounge with digital television and a music system, which opens onto the patio area, a large dining area, which can also be converted to a games room, and a separate, spacious kitchen, where guests can choose to help staff prepare meals or even cook for themselves.
We have a large private garden with a barbecue and a patio seating area. The garden is decorated with seasonal flowers and has ample space for recreational activities. All the rooms at Ladycroft Respite have been designed with the guests in mind.
