Supporting you

At London Road we provide rehabilitation to individuals following a brain injury. We can offer long term or short term placements and have particular experience of supporting people with physical disabilities and memory impairment. We offer a range of therapies including psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy.

Our home has been established for over 17 years and we have developed strong links with our local Headway group.

Facilities

London Road has 10 well equipped flats, each with en-suite facilities and a kitchenette area.

The ground floor apartments all have French doors which open onto the large garden. There is also a large activity room which can be accessed by all residents.

The property is purpose built and both the building and the garden are fully wheelchair accessible. We also have two wheelchair accessible vehicles.

The home is in the centre of Gloucester, enabling easy access to all local amenities, including shops and leisure facilities.

The service is located in the centre of Gloucester. With lots of local businesses near by, there is easy access to local shops, education and leisure facilities. For things a little further away, we have good transport links with a bus stop just outside, and we also have two wheelchair accessible vehicles.

About Eve

Eve has worked in social care since graduating from high school. Since 2005, she’s supported people with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours, complex needs, and brain injuries, accruing a wealth of practical knowledge and transferrable skills.

Since joining us, Eve has also achieved valuable qualifications, including levels 2 and 3 in Adult Social Care and level 5 in Social Care Management, and is currently studying for a CMDA in Health and Social Care Management and Leadership.

Passionate about supporting those who have suffered brain injuries, Eve feels humbled to share rehabilitation journeys with the people we support and enjoy special moments with them as they progress along their unique journeys. For Eve, supporting people to rediscover themselves and regain their independence in the community is her favourite part of her role.

About Rhiannon

Rhiannon is a dual-site Therapy Lead at our specialist brain injury services 46 London Road and Theoc House. Her journey with Voyage Care began in 2019 where she joined as a Support Worker before progressing to Senior Support Worker and, most recently, a Therapy Lead. As part of her role, she plays a big part of the rehabilitation journey of the people we support and is proud of the support she offers throughout. She is passionate about collaborating with therapists and clinicians to offer excellent care and support, while continuing to develop her knowledge.

Her favourite part of her role is seeing the people we support progress along their individual journeys, building meaningful relationships and living fulfilling lives. Rhiannon feels very strongly about supporting people with rehabilitation and hopes to become a therapist in the future!

About Michael

Michael joined Voyage Care in early 2024 having previously worked in national and regional Director roles, as well as in Senior Clinical leadership. His career spans children and young people’s mental health services, specialist mental health and senior living, both in the NHS and the independent sector.

Michael was the Nominated Individual in his last role and was involved in several acquisitions leading to the group's growth. He’s also worked on several transformation programmes, notably leading neurodevelopmental transformation work in Surrey.

Outside of work, Michael is an avid sports enthusiast and can be frequently found at Anfield passionately supporting his favourite team.

About Kim

Kim is an Operations Manager for our brain injury rehabilitation services. She has experience within a range of care settings, including adult social care. Kim has gained a wealth of experience in implementing new services within customer focused and adult care provisions. She has also led transformation projects, incorporating the ‘Lean Thinking’ method.

Kim’s experience is invaluable to her role and has helped us to improve the quality of support offered within our services. Kim has also achieved a DMS in Leadership and Strategic Management and is an Advanced Lean Practitioner and Coach.

About Vicki

Vicki has worked in the health and social care sector since 2009. She has spent most of her career working within brain injury rehabilitation and mental health services, but has also gained essential experience in various other rehabilitation pathways. Vicki has also previously worked in Forensic Mental Health services for the NHS. Alongside her rich professional career, Vicki has achieved a level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management and has recently completed her degree in Chartered Management.

About Louise

Louise has worked in brain injury rehab services since 2005. She started her career as a Support Worker, progressing to Team Leader and then onto Deputy Manager.

Louise is now a Placement Manager at one of our brain injury services in the West Midlands. Since 2013, Louise has led client referrals and admissions for our brain injury services throughout the UK and is actively involved in new site developments.
