Lynette Winch

I started in care in 2008 , fresh from school and not sure what I wanted to do, but then I fell in love with the care profession. From a Support Worker I worked my way up to a Senior then Deputy, then Acting Manager before becoming a Registered Manager in 2016. I have completed my Level 2,3, and 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care and have found it very interesting and useful in my roles.

I am the Registered Manager for 1 Uppingham Gardens. My overall responsibility of the home is to ensure I have systems and well-trained team members in place, giving the people we support what they need to live the fulfilling lives they deserve!

No day is the same, the people we support make the role and the smallest things can give the greatest sense of achievement – you don’t get that in any other job! The things we achieve and the fun we have on the way makes the role so rewarding! I love being the caring person I am!
