Silent… but busy!
Maeres House have been very busy raising some pennies over the last week. As a brain injury rehabilitation service, they put their hard earned pennies towards Headway – the brain injury association, our former charity of the year.
They’ve held a family and friends coffee morning for the people they support, family members and staff.
Service Manager, Kayley said “We all had a fantastic morning at our family and friends coffee morning. There was plenty of cakes made by staff, as well as games such as hook a unicorn, guess the number of sweets, guess the name of the bunny and a fantastic raffle.
A massive thank you to Danielle, Kirsty and Tia who arranged the event and for purchasing a lot of the prizes themselves. In total we raised £171.50 with Danielle’s sponsored silence yesterday.”
Staff member Danielle had also done a sponsored silence to add to the fundraising total.
“Danielle was able to remain silent from 8am until 1pm which usually proves difficult for Danielle but with the support of her colleagues and the people we support she was able to do this,” added Kayley.
Well done everyone!
