Voyage Care, once more, celebrate Outstanding care and support!
Congratulations to our Chard Manor care home in Somerset,as the team receive an Outstanding rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex needs, the team were thrilled to hear the news. Emma Lock, Home Manager said:
“It is such an asset for the team at Chard Manor, who really do go above and beyond for the people who live there. We have been discussing how we are going to maintain our Outstanding rating and also what we can do to improve in other areas. We’re going to continue to make sure that the people we support are fully involved.”
The report, from the unannounced inspection, which took place on 20 January 2019, highlighted the passion of the Chard Manor team: “Staff were highly motivated to support people in a person centred way. The registered manager inspired staff working in services to work to high standards so that the people they supported lived a happy and fulfilled life; the life they wanted.”
The drive and determination of the team was also picked up in the report: “Staff said they felt proud to work at Chard Manor and said that people were offered a truly person-centred service. The registered manager had a clear vision for the service and shared this vision with the staff team whilst developing future improvements at Chard Manor.”
Well done to the whole team – great work!
