Amanda Griffiths our Quality Director has taken the decision to retire from her role at Voyage Care due to her health and has sadly left the business. We cannot thank Amanda enough for her dedication and commitment during her ten years in the leadership team at Voyage Care.

Amanda’s positivity, energy and deep knowledge gained from her many years as a nurse has had a profound and positive effect on the lives of the people we support and on Voyage Care.  Amanda’s unstinting focus on quality has been vital in Voyage Care achieving and sustaining sector-leading regulatory outcomes. Her leadership of the Quality team through the COVID-19 pandemic was critically important to both Voyage Care’s preparedness and the effectiveness of our response. Amanda’s stewardship of our quality and governance frameworks provided the robust foundations on which our response to the pandemic was built, and undoubtedly saved lives.

Amanda has dedicated her career to supporting others and has always been a vocal advocate for the social care sector. She is a passionate champion for the people we support and for the well-being and recognition of those who work in the sector. Working alongside colleagues in Voyage Care, Care England, other social care leaders, her efforts have ensured the rights of the people we support, and the needs of the learning disability sector as a whole, are better represented in national guidance.

Amanda has been tireless in her dedication to supporting our colleagues and she will be missed by so many. The whole of the Voyage Care family wish her happiness and good health for her future.
