Tuesday was a special day at Voyage Care. Our Group Support office in Lichfield transformed into a Christmas wonderland, welcoming people we support and their support workers to a fun-filled and festive day!

It was a fantastic opportunity to unify different services as well as meet Santa at our very own Grotto, which was a real excitement, as you can imagine!

Did the fun end there? Of course not! We had lots of activities including face painting, a room full of games, designing your own stocking, as well as some festive colouring. There were so many fantastic designs – what a talented bunch!

Naturally, this is hungry and thirsty work, so there were lots of refreshments on offer with plenty of mince pies to munch upon … because is any Christmas party complete without them?

We also had a happy elf handing out delicious turkey and stuffing baps (and scrumptious veggie wraps) for everyone who wanted a spot of lunch, so no one went home hungry. Yum!

Our guests also had a very important job to undertake. Every department decorated their desk space with a Christmas theme; we needed a group of judges to decide the winner for the best decorated. No easy task. But the people we support made it look easy so well done to everyone who voted.

The fabulous Harry Potter display of Christmas at Hogwarts from the Marketing and Internal Communications team clinched first prize and HR’s gingerbread man theme came a close second. Our judges had lots of fun taking selfies with the Harry Potter selfie board too!

To really get everyone in the Christmas spirit, we had our own Christmas choir singing carols. After all, ‘the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear’.

The choir sounded great, and even if we don’t get the Christmas number one in the charts, it certainly hits top spot for Voyage Care! Thank you everyone for taking part.
