Children’s Complex Care are HSJ Partnership Award 2024 finalists!
We’re delighted to announce that our Children’s Complex Care team have been shortlisted as finalists for Best Healthcare Provider Partnership with the NHS at the Healthcare Service Journal (HSJ) Partnership Awards, recognising an outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS. This is in recognition of the amazing work the team do in collaboration with the Children and Family Health Surrey (CFHS) Children’s Continuing Care Team (CCCT).
Now in their seventh year, these prestigious awards had fierce competition, with over 220 entries received as part of showcasing exceptional innovation and care across UK healthcare. Widely considered the most impressive awards in the sector, it is a huge achievement to be shortlisted as finalists and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to improving outcomes and delivering high-quality care as part of a holistic and collaborative approach.
Reacting to our HSJ Partnership Awards finalist status!
Following a thorough judging process, our entry, “Better Together: Delivering best outcomes for children and young people with complex care needs” alongside CHFS CCCT, stood out as a real ‘success story’ worthy of a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.
Speaking about the finalist announcement ahead of the official awards ceremony in March 2024, Eileen Lock, Managing Director of our Children’s Complex Care team said, “We have worked very closely with CFHS CCCT to achieve high-quality care and plan for further integration as a direct result of the achievements we have produced collectively.”
She continued, “We truly work as one team. Our shared goals, trust, openness, communication, and honesty have underpinned this successful relationship, so to be shortlisted is testament to the hard work and planning our teams to get this functional partnership working so seamlessly.”
We are very proud of the partnership we have built with Surrey as a way of offering more robust complex care provision in the local community. In the last few years, we’ve worked together to ensure the people we support receive relevant and effective care, regardless of who delivers it. As a result, the partnership delivers sustainable, high-quality and localised care that is collaborative in every sense of the word.
Yvonne Mujeri, Clinical Services Director for our Children’s Complex Care team shared, “The partnership with Surrey works so our teams are an extension of one another and drive best practice to achieve truly child-centred outcomes. I am delighted the judges saw that and honoured to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award!”
Joy Attrill, Clinical Service Manager at CFHS CCCT, added; “I’m thrilled our working partnership has been recognised with finalist status at the HSJ awards because it works so well!”
“The mutual respect and understanding of the roles of both organisations in the partnership means we offer seamless care at the point of delivery for families, working together to meet every aspect of a child’s needs holistically, while responding and mobilising together when it matters.”
What’s next?
The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Evolution London in March 2024. The judging panel is made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community, as well as esteemed healthcare leaders from across the UK.
For now though, our team will continue to work collaboratively with Surrey to deliver life-changing care and support for children and young people with complex needs and their families in the local community and beyond!
