A message from our Quality Safety and Risk Committee (QSR)
It is hard to talk about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic without resorting to clichés but our latest Quality Account, which covers the year to 31 March 2021, really was an extraordinary period for everyone; the people we support, colleagues and stakeholders.
It is hard to talk about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic without resorting to clichés but our latest Quality Account, which covers the year to 31 March 2021, really was an extraordinary period for everyone; the people we support, colleagues and stakeholders.
It is therefore a real pleasure for us, the Quality Safety and Risk Committee (QSR), to share so many outstanding examples of our colleagues going the extra mile to ensure the people we support were kept active, happy and, most crucially, safe. We are exceptionally proud and grateful to our incredible teams who live our ETHOS values every day. They have shown awe-inspiring levels of resilience, creativity and dedication, mounting a superb response, despite the demands placed on the social care sector throughout the pandemic.
Our Quality Account shows that not only have we maintained our sector-leading quality ratings and continued to grow, but we’ve also improved outcomes for the people we support across many important metrics that measure their quality of life experience. Seeing people having fun, learning new skills, moving into new homes and improving their health and wellbeing is testament to everyone’s efforts.
We are a relentlessly curious and driven organisation with an unwavering focus on identifying any opportunities for improvement in how we meet the needs of those we support. We encourage everyone to read our quality account, which is also available in easy read, for more details about our successes, learnings and priorities for the coming year.
