Employee Appreciation Day – “Dedication from my deputy”
The success of a service is largely down to the working relationship within a staff team. At Blackberry Hill, there’s just that. For Service Manager, Sam, it’s the dedication from Deputy Manager, Emily, that particularly stands out.
In honour of Employee Appreciation Day, we asked Sam what makes Emily so special and why there’s so much appreciation for her dedication as a deputy.
“Emily will always put the service first and lead by example. This has cascaded confidence and leadership throughout the senior and staff teams.”
As well having an impact on the staff teams, Emily has a strong rapport with both the people we support and their relatives. This is something that’s really important in all of our homes to create a safe and fulfilling life for our residents.
“For Blackberry Hill, this has been paramount in supporting the service and making it a brilliant home.”
It’s not just at work that Emily is excelling. Sam has a real admiration of Emily’s hard work in completing her Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management. Which she completed in her personal time, in just six months. Whilst completing her qualification she still worked overtime to assist a resident with their recovery.
“Emily, very well done. Thank you for all your support and dedication! Without you, we really would not be where we are today. I am certain that in the near future you will be managing and leading your own team and home, with great success!”
