Abbey Gardens is a nursing care home located in Dumfries, Scotland. We offer 24-hour support for up to 32 adults with low levels of challenging behaviour, dementia, epilepsy, physical disabilities, and mental health needs. These disabilities may be complex and include enduring health conditions and behavioural support.
Supporting you
The people we support are at the heart of everything we do. We ensure activity plans are individualised to each person, tailored to meet their hobbies and interests. The people we support have diverse interests and enjoy a wide variety of activities, including arts and crafts, gardening, keeping fit, and even a spot of pampering with some beauty therapy!
Facilities
Our home is a purpose-built bungalow, divided into four separate wings, and surrounded by a reception area. Inside the wings are eight bedrooms with en-suite facilities, alongside a communal lounge, dining room and kitchen. The people we support are empowered to personalise their rooms to their own tastes and decorate their space with their most cherished possessions! Across the wider home, we benefit from additional communal spaces including a laundry room, reception area, a large catering kitchen, and an activity/sensory room. Outside the home is a beautiful, secluded garden with outdoor seating for the people we support and families to enjoy in the sunshine or participate in outdoor activities.
Our team
Our expert team includes Registered Nurses, Senior Support Workers, Support Workers, and ancillary team members who are highly trained to meet the complex needs of the people we support. Training is tailored to ensure safety and meet individual healthcare needs.
